- Good afternoon to my Fowler family and favorite team on Favorite Team Day. It’s fun to see everyone’s personal interests through their choices during Spirit Week.
- I am so proud of the work our team is doing and for the expressions of love from our residents – your love for one another is heartwarming and inspiring.
- I saw a headline that suggests there is a resurgence of prayer.
- That God is making a come-back! As if He ever left!
- I saw another that said:
- “Disruption is now the daily theme of our workplaces, campuses, homes, and even our inner world.”
- As a result, many are turning to prayer.
- However, here at Fowler, prayer is not new – it is our norm – I hope you are using the prayer boxes that Chaplain Venessa provided so that we can pray together for your concern.
- If you would like some Chaplain support, please reach out on our COVID hotline or email and we will connect you by phone.
- Santos gave me these scriptures and I wanted to share them with you:
- Psalm 5:3 3In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly. Psalm 3:5 5I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me. Psalm 4:8 8In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety.
- We know that God walks with us always; he is always present. Lean in.
- Chaplain Venessa told us 2.5 weeks ago – Faith and Fear cannot coexist.
- So a shout out to our prayer warriors – you know who you are
- Susan Tullos wrote on Facebook today – Just a thank you to all our fabulous Fowler Staff – thank you Susan for your cheerful support
- Bill and Norma – we saw your Facebook live post – You were broadcasting happiness and we appreciate you! Bill said “Just do what you can to be happy and have a blessed day”
- Couple of things:
- There have been questions about Hospice – There are both essential hospice services and non-essential services – Essential hospice services will always be provided
- We mentioned yesterday that we are layering additional levels of protection.
- Our team members in support services who have been accepting all of your mail and deliveries are wearing masks, gloves and using a lot of sanitizer.
- We just received another 35 gallons of hand sanitizer – and we have masks in stock and being donated.
- The infection control experts have suggested that masks might help prevent someone who is non symptomatic from spreading COVID –
- Non symptomatic means they show none of the symptoms but they are carriers and because they show no symptoms they can pass it to another person.
- This is why we are socially isolating.
- This is why we are requiring gloves and masks.
- We are screening daily at our entrance, taking temperatures and screening for symptoms.
- For those of you who have home health providing services for you – be sure they are wearing their mask and gloves in your home.
- If they take off their protective gloves and mask in your home – tell them to put it back on and let us know!
- Thank you.
