Donor Privacy Policy

Juliette Fowler Foundation is committed to respecting the privacy of our donors.

The Foundation uses your information to enhance our relationship directly with you as well as make you aware of current and future promotions and events.  Donor Information will be made available to staff, board members, volunteers, and consultants only on a “need-to-know” basis.

The Foundation does not copy, reproduce, publish, post, distribute, share or sell, the personal contact information or description of donors to any outside individual or business, except in the cases that are required by law.

There are times when we publicly recognize and thank donors, volunteers and other stakeholders for their generosity. If you prefer to remain anonymous, please indicate this when completing your pledge form. All requests to remain anonymous shall be honored.

Gift Acceptance Policy

Juliette Fowler Foundation seeks out-right gifts and future gift commitments that are consistent with our mission. Donations will be accepted from individuals, partnerships, corporations, organizations, or other entities without limitations—unless acceptance of gifts from a specific source is inconsistent with the Foundation’s beliefs, values and mission. The Foundation may choose to not accept gifts from companies or individual donors whose requests the Foundation are deemed too burdensome or costly to Juliette Fowler Foundation.

In processing, all gifts will be coded in the donor database (Blackbaud eTapestry) for the constituency source from which the gifts were given (e.g., individual, corporation, foundation, organization, etc.).

Multiyear pledges for major gifts are encouraged. Donors should complete and sign a gift or pledge agreement detailing the purpose of the gift, payment schedule and how they wish their names to appear in donor-recognition materials.

Donors are encouraged to support areas reflecting their interests. The Foundation’s priorities include gifts for unrestricted, restricted and endowment purposes.

A selection of named or commemorative gift opportunities may be made available to each donor. Such opportunities represent a tangible means of demonstrating an individual donor’s investment in the Foundation.

When gifts with restrictions are accepted, restrictions will be honored. These restrictions will be detailed in donor’s gift or pledge commitment letter.

The Foundation will accept Gifts-In-Kind that benefit our mission.  Items that the Foundation generally cannot accept are:

  • Used Clothes and Linens
  • Mattresses
  • Upholstered Furniture

Gifts of jewelry, artwork, collections, equipment, motor vehicles, real estate, and software will be approved by executive directors. Any gift of property worth more than $5,000 requires an authorized appraisal by the donor.

Stocks, bonds and other securities will be accepted upon approval of CEO and/or COO. The securities will be valued the day they are received.

All donor information that should be private and confidential will not be made public.
